Me and my best friend Kari walked up to a tall building, we could barely look up because the rain was pounding down on our face. Kari moaned because she was badly hurt in a battle, I groaned because I was carrying both mine and her backpack,
"You know if you didn't bring so much stuff this would've been a lot faster" I said very annoyed, but I had to forgive her, the I noticed what the building was, "I think this is the place" I quickly walked up the the door and knocked on it and as soon as I knocked the door flung open as quick as lightning.

Come in, come in! My goodness, come in! I can’t believe you’ve all been waiting outside in the rain all this time! You could have knocked earlier, you know!

I sighed with relief and my friend moaned, we were both relived, but freaked out, first of all the Pokemon in front of us was a Ninetails, Kari's evolved form, and second of all how quick he opened the door but I didn't mention either.

My name is Callahan, or Calla, for short. I’m the guild registrar, you know. I’m quite good at it!

"Thanks a lot" I said, I dropped both of the bags off my back and sighed with relief, "thank God that I got those off my back" Kari helped me untie my bandana which was soaking wet and I helped her take off her scarf which was also soaking wet but still soft.

Oh, please allow me to take your belongings, they’re all wet! I’ll just hang them in front of the fireplace to dry as we go over the formalities.

"Thanks" I said, I tried to keep him from grabbing my light blue bandana but he grabbed it as quick as he opened the door, he grabbed Kari's orange scarf too and our bag
"If you burn my scarf I will burn you" Kari said angrily but I grabbed her tail with my mouth and pulled her back. I kind of felt the same way but I didn't want to make him mad

And the paperwork, of course! There will be a lot of that, don’t you worry one bit!

"Oh great paperwork, this'll be fun" I moaned, the truth is I hated anything that ended in work, I hated the way he smiled, I looked at Kari and I was pretty sure she felt the same way. Then I remembered what I got in my mailbox earlier today and got them out of my backpack,
"Here they are" I said as I handed them to Calla

What’s this? These forms are soaking wet.. and the ink has run! Goodness, we’re in for a lot more paperwork than I could have hoped to dream of!

I thought he was exaggerating, even though our bags were wet, the forms were barely, I'm guessing he loved paperwork so much that he wanted to torture us and do more

No matter, I have spare forms, and all the time in the world! I trust you have no pressing appointments yet, so I’ll write down your information now.

"Oh yay, more time to do paperwork" I said sarcastically, then I saw his tails covered in ink,
 "Are you writing with your tail?" I asked, "that's kind of cool..."

"Oh yay, more joy" I said sarcastically, "can't you do this by yourself"
 "Well that's a stupid question" Kari said, she was really silent today but I couldn't blame her because she was really shy.

Let’s get right down to it, shall we? My fastest time for entering a team in the official guild registrar is a touch under a few hours; let’s see if we can break the record!

All right now.. names, please?

I froze at the words "under a few hours" but I managed to say, "I'm Lilac and this is my friend Kari"

Ahh.. what.. commo- er, good names you all have! How do you spell them?

"L-I-L-A-C" I said,
 "and K-A-R-I" Kari said, "and did you almost call our names common, how many Lilacs and Kari's have you met?"

Interesting spelling! Are you foreign? French, perhaps?

What the heck is French?" I asked, Kari sighed, Callahan was annoying but we had to just live with it.

Ah, no, forget it, France is just made up here, you know. Often used as comic relief. Er, just forget that.

Moving on!

What alias do you wish to give you lot of fellows? I hope it’s something good! I’ve been so bored by Pokemon insisting to use a name like “Team Awesome” or anything of the sort. More like “Team Mediocrity,” I like to think! I’m sure you have a much more original name.

I thought for a little, trying to remember the name me and Kari thought of earlier,
 "Team NightFlame" I said

I knew you wouldn’t let me down! Is that the normal spelling, or do you insist on losing letters, or replacing them altogether entirely? (I hope not..)

"I'm pretty sure I spelled it right" I said, "Me and Kari agreed on the name by putting two elements of our types together, clever right?" I said.

You there, lad! You seem to be the leader of the team, here. Why don’t you tell me about yourself? Please make it interesting! I’m not filing a police report, you know. I don’t get paid for this, either. I do it for the stories people tell! Everyone has a story! (Some are better than others, though. That’s for sure..) However, I do hope yours isn’t filled to the brim with angst and darkness, you know. We have enough of that as it is with the recent crises we’ve been going through!

If you insist on weaving a yarn of incredible sadness and general malaise, please make it good. I’ll discern the necessary details from your story and put it down in the log book here.

"Well, um I'm a shiny Zoura, I'm dumber than all the other Zouras but I'm more creative, this bandana goes way back. I have a sister and she gave this to me before she moved away out into the wild, she has one too, except it's red. I've been growing up with Kari here since I hatched and my sister gave me a her scarf that matches her bandana that makes me feel like she's here with me, I only use that when I'm sad"

  "When I grew up all the other Zouras made fun of me because I was way to different, I was shiny and I was really dumb, Kari was the only one I hung out with, she was the only one who didn't call me names and she was my only friend, but I was stronger then all the other Zouras which was weird but I didn't care"

  "In my free time I play pranks and lots of them and I love to cook which is fun. Sometimes I do cooking pranks which are always funny, if somebody makes fun of me a prank will await them. I'm also really fast and I'm great in battle but I normally get caught of guard,"

 "I hang out up in the trees a lot, it's like my secret hiding place, oh yeah and I'm kind of empathetic, I can sense lots of people's feelings and I'm not scared of anything, but I do mistrust stuff like shiny objects because I know it's a trap, and ghost types because you never know what those tricksters are up too"

 "I was born with my parents and my sister, when I got older I left them and went out to be wild, Kari went out with me too, I met this Sableye who almost killed us and that's why I can never trust ghost types again and I also met this really cool Samurott named Meg who taught me some battle techniques, I also met this Zoroark who talk me lots of cool things"

  "Once me and Kari saw this village, it was kind of sad and I knew we had to help them, it was a big village but it was all burnt, I didn't know what happened there and we helped them rebuild it, it took weeks but I didn't care, after that I got the message that you sent me and here we are now"

And you there, lad, what is your story? Your leader has done an excellent job of keeping me awake at this late hour, I hope you do the same!

"Well, not much" she said, "I've lived most of my life with Lilac and this scarf is from my mom, it's very special to me, I'm very normal for a Vulpix and I'm very brave but shy, I like making friends and my favorite thing in the entire world is music, for some reason I love it"

"I was born as an only child and my mom and dad treated me fairly nice but one day they disappeared, I met Lilac and we started adventuring together and you heard what she said and well, that's kind of it"

"Thank God that's done!" Kari exclaimed,
  "I know right, I'm so tired now and I feel like I'm gonna die, on the upside, we're done!" I said excitedly, it was late at night but we were almost done so we sat down and filled it out.

What’s that, you say? There are only two of you? Of course I know that! I do have eyes, you know! What if, during your travels, you decide to recruit, or add on an extra member to your team? Well, now! I don’t think I’ll keep you here any longer, I have everything I need from you! I haven’t broken any records for time tonight, though. Your story took up quite a bit of it! (Thankfully, it didn’t put me to sleep.. it’s happened before). Oh well! Time to conclude our business here!

He pushed us out the door, I was kind of happy until I realized our stuff was still inside!
"Hey, you left our stuff inside!" I yelled and then he tossed our things outside and we put them on, I was annoyed but I got over it fast, I couldn't wait for the next day.
